In order for ATM Insights or Hercules AI to work in the Hercules portal, ATMs need to have an additional option checked on their messaging format options. ATM Insights allow you to see graphed current and past cash level data, forecast refill dates, and set custom alarm levels while Hercules AI can monitor Health Check and Transaction Data for errors.
- Standard 1 requires: Terminal Status Enabled
- Standard 3 requires: Enable Status Monitor
Having these options enabled passes up additional cassette and ATM status data through transactions and health checks so DPL can display this information for you.
Note: Once ATMs are configured for Insights correctly, if you haven't already, we strongly recommend configuring ATMs and Hercules modems for Hercules RMS as well by following the manufacturer specific configuration guide. Doing so will ensure you experience the full benefits of the Hercules platform.
Setup Standard 1 / 3 options for Cash Insights:
Hyosung:
Operator Menu -> Customer Setup -> Standard 1 Option -> Terminal Status Enable
or
Operator Menu -> Customer Setup -> Standard 3 Option -> Status Monitor Enable
Genmega:
Operator Menu -> Customer Setup -> Change Processor -> Standard 1 Option -> Terminal Status Enable
or
Operator Menu -> Customer Setup -> Change Processor -> Standard 3 Option -> Status Monitor Enable
Triton:
Operator Menu -> Terminal Configuration -> General Parameters -> ATM Monitoring -> Status Monitoring Enabled
Enabling Heath Checks:
Having Health checks enabled also allows changes in cassettes to be logged sooner (Like after a refill) as it would be reported in the Health check. Otherwise, the latest cash levels would only be known when the next transaction occurs. This also allows the ATM to report errors even if Hercules RMS is not enabled.
Hyosung:
Operator Menu -> Host Setup -> Health Check Message -> Host Send Enable
Send Interval 4hrs
Genmega:
Operator Menu -> Host Setup -> Health Check -> Host Send Enable
Send Interval 4hrs
Triton:
Operator Menu -> Terminal Configuration -> General Parameters -> ATM Monitoring -> Heartbeat Message checked
Heartbeat Delay period can be 240 minutes (4hrs)
