WARNING:

Improper connection of the power cord increases the risk of electric shock, fire, or injury to persons. The power outlet must be a 120-volt circuit. The maximum current draw for the end equipment (kiosk, ATM, etc) MUST NOT EXCEED 7 Amps.

Configuration

Connecting the Restart

Step 1

Connect the 15-pin adapter of the restart harness to the Hercules.

Step 2

Join the 2-pin connector of the power harness to the 2-pin connector of the restart harness.

Step 3

Plug the ATM’s power cord into the black female end of the power harness and plug the male end of the power harness into a power outlet.

Note 1: The white un-switched power outlet can be used to power other items like the Hercules. Items plugged into it will not be power cycled when the restart command is sent.

Note 2: If also using the Protector, omit Step 2 and join the 2-pin connector of the power harness to the 2-pin connector of the Protector.

Using the Restart

Step 1

Log in to the Hercules Portal at https://hercules.dplwireless.com and search for the Terminal ID of the asset.

Step 2

Select the Terminal in the list on the left to display its dashboard.

Step 3

Select Reboot ATM in the top right corner of the device dashboard 

Step 4

Select (Hard) Hercules ATM Restart from the top dropdown field of the Confirm Reboot dialogue box.

Step 5

Choose whether to Reboot Immediately, in Maintenance Window, or at a Specific Time from the second dropdown field in the Confirm Reboot dialogue box.

Step 6

Choose whether to to "Notify by email when finished" by selecting the checkbox.

Step 7

Select Reboot to initiate the reboot command.
