Prerequisites

Add new users and configure SMS text and email notifications in the Hercules Portal
Security Sensor Testing
To test security sensors during installation log in to the Hercules Portal, navigate to the devices security tab and follow the steps below.
Door Sensors
Step 1
Close the doors equipped with sensors and observe the door LEDs turn green in the Hercules Portal.
Step 2
Open the doors equipped with sensors and observe the door LEDs turn red in the Hercules Portal.
Step 3
Confirm that the door open notifications are received via the configured channels to the designated portal users.
Note: If the door LEDs are not green when the doors are closed, adjust the position of the door sensors until they are ¼” apart when the doors are closed (maximum ½” apart) and re-test.
Vibration Sensor
Step 1
Confirm that the vibration sensor is successfully connected by verifying that the vibration LED is green on the Hercules Shield modem or in the Hercules Portal.
Step 2
Shake or tilt the ATM to observe the vibration LED turn red.
Step 3
Confirm that the tilt notification is received via the configured channels to the designated portal users.
Power Cut Sensor
Step 1
Confirm the power LED is green on the Hercules Shield modem or in the Hercules Portal.
Step 2
Disconnect the Hercules Shield’s AC adapter from its power source and confirm that the power cut notification is received via the configured channels to the designated portal users.
Note: Triggering a tilt notification and power cut notification within 30 seconds of one another will trigger a theft in progress notification.
