Hercules modems that are not activated prior to shipping (or that you've requested be temporarily deactivated by tech support) will appear in your device list with the following icon displayed in the “Health” column.
To self activate a Hercules modem in the portal complete the following steps:
Click the “Devices” icon from the menu navigation on the left.
Search for or select the inactive Hercules you wish to activate from the list.
Click the “Activate” button in the bottom left corner of the Health section of the Device Dashboard tab.
Click “OK” to confirm when prompted.
Verify the activation has been successful. It may take a few minutes for the activation to finalize.
To verify the activation has been successful, from the "Device" view - confirm that the green circle icon with a checkmark in the center is present in the Health column to the left of the recently activated device, indicating that the overall system health is "good".*
*Green circle icon with a checkmark in the center will only be displayed for Hercules modems that are installed in an ATM.
Hercules modems activated but not installed in an ATM will display a grey circle icon with an "i" in the center.
If any other icon is displayed, tap or click the device to view additional details related to the connectivity health of the device.
To verify the activation has been successful from the devices health dashboard - confirm that the overall system health status is "good" beneath the health diagram.
Navigate to the settings tab and confirm or modify settings.
