By default an inactivity alert is triggered if a Hercules modem is unable to communicate with DPL’s data centres for over an hour. In the Hercules Portal you can modify the length of inactivity time required to trigger an alert for each of your Hercules modems.
To modify the length of inactivity time required to trigger an alert complete the following steps:
Click the “Device” icon from the menu navigation on the left.
Select the device you would like to make changes to.
Click the “Settings” tab in the top right corner of the window
Scroll to and click the dropdown arrow to the right of the “Inactivity Threshold” field and select the inactivity duration length you would like to be alerted for.
The inactivity alert will now only be triggered after the Hercules modem has been unable to communicate with DPL’s data centers for the duration selected.
